Another fugitive nabbed in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales – A man tagged as one of the most wanted persons in Candelaria town in this province was arrested following a manhunt operation, police said Tuesday, Oct. 5.

Col. Romano Cardiño, police provincial director, identified the suspect as Jay-ar Edquid, 32, who was tracked down in Calasiao town, Pangasinan province on Monday.

Edquid was allegedly involved in a series of theft incidents in Candelaria last year and was also the primary suspect in stealing a car in the same town last April 17.

He was arrested on the strength of warrants issued by two local courts and was detained in Candelaria Municipal Police Station.

Last week, three other fugitives who were facing child abuse and human tracking charges were also arrested by local police. INQ
