65,840 Tacloban folk vaccinated fully vs COVID-19

TACLOBAN CITY—At least 65,840 people in this city have been vaccinated fully against COVID-19.

The City Health Office said they target around 190,000 residents to receive the vaccine.

Mayor Alfred Romualdez earlier launched a mobile vaccination program to fast-track the distribution of the vaccine.

As of Tuesday, Tacloban has logged 5,755 COVID-19 cases with 191  active.

The Department of Health has called on local governments in the region to intensify their vaccination campaign amid the increasing number of COVID-19 cases compounded with different variants, notably the highly transmissible Delta.
