Gov’t suspends collaboration between Grab, Move It

/ 05:08 AM October 02, 2021

The government’s motorcycle-taxi technical working group (TWG) has suspended the collaboration between Grab and Move It, citing the two firms’ failure to operate “in accordance to the agreed parameters and guidelines.” The collaboration was part of the government’s pilot study on motorcycle taxis that aimed to legally include them in the public transport system. The TWG, composed of the Department of Transportation, the Land Transportation Office, and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, said the collaboration between Grab and Move It was suspended after two provisions of the agreement were violated. —Mariejo S.
