MANILA, Philippines — One to two storms are expected to hit the country this October, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported Friday.

This as the state weather bureau said Typhoon Mindulle (international name) has ultimately moved farther from the country although its “extension area” or trough still affected the eastern part of Northern Luzon.

As for Friday’s weather, Aurelio said Luzon could expect generally fair weather even if rain showers remain possible due to thunderstorms.

Pagasa’s forecast temperatures, meanwhile, indicated that Tuguegarao would sizzle at 35 degrees Celcius while Laoag and Puerto Princesa would experience climate at 33 degrees Celsius; Metro Manila and Legazpi, 32 degrees Celsius; and Tagaytay, 30 degrees Celsius.

Some generally fair weather with chances of isolated rain could also be expected in Visayas and Mindanao, according to the state weather service, with temperatures reaching 34 degrees Celsius in Cebu and Zamboanga; and 33 degrees Celsius in Tacloban, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, and Davao.
