Fair weather on Friday with rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Generally fair weather is again expected to prevail throughout the country on Friday, but high chances of rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms still remain, said the state weather bureau.

“Sa ka-Maynilaan at sa nalalabang bahagi ng Luzon ay asahan natin ang fair weather condition sa umaga hanggang tanghali,” said Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Ana Clauren.

(In Manila and the rest of Luzon, expect fair weather conditions in the morning until noon.)

“Ngunit pagsapit pa rin ng hapon at ng gabi ay mataas pa rin ‘yung tiyansa ng mga pulo pulong pagulan tulod ‘yan ng localized thunderstorms,” she added.

(But from afternoon to evening, the chances of isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms are high.)

Clear skies bringing generally fair weather are also expected over Visayas and Mindanao on Friday, but Clauren also warned of high chances of rain also due to localized thunderstorms.

On the other hand, Typhoon Mindulle, which continues to move farther away from the country, was last spotted 1,775 kilometers east-northeast of extreme northern Luzon.
