20 more fatalities push COVID-19 death toll in Zambales to 377

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales—At least 20 residents in this province died Wednesday from COVID-19 complications, local data showed.

The latest fatalities raised to 377 the province’s death toll and kept the COVID-19 mortality rate at four percent, according to the provincial health office.

Based on the same data, the number of active COVID-19 cases had climbed to 1,063, with the addition of 85 infections on Wednesday.

At least 52 more COVID-19 patients had also recovered from the disease, maintaining the province’s recovery rate at 86 percent.

The province has recorded 8,558 COVID-19 cases since last year, but 7,418 of them have healed from the disease.
