Angeles City logs record-high COVID-19 recoveries at 334

ANGELES CITY––The city government recorded Wednesday 334 COVID-19 recoveries, its all-time high since the pandemic struck last year.

The figure brought down the active cases to 967 from 1,441 on Sept. 24. It reflected a 32-percent drop in the last five days, data showed.

Most of the new recoveries are residents of Cutcut village (104), Sto. Domingo (52), and Anunas (38).

Only 33 new cases and zero COVID-19 related fatalities were also registered on Wednesday.

Cutcut still has the most active cases at 84, followed by Tabun with 69, and the biggest village of Balibago with 63.

This city has recorded 11,807 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 10,366 have recovered, while 474 have died.

As of Sept. 23, the city government has fully inoculated 143,969 residents here against COVID-19. Some 161,924 individuals have also received their first dose of the vaccines.

It aims to vaccinate about 324,000 city residents.
