Jail guard nabbed in drug bust in Leyte town

ORMOC CITY – A provincial jail guard of a sub-provincial jail of Leyte was arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Jugaban, Carigara town, Leyte at 8:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29.

Ricardito Javines did not resist arrest.

Recovered from his possession were shabu (methamphetamine) packs with an estimated street value of P34, 000.

Charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were being readied by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the custodial facility in Palo, Leyte.
