MANILA, Philippines — Hot and humid weather is expected to prevail throughout the country on Thursday, despite high chances of rain due to localized thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

(In Manila and the rest of Luzon, our weather will be hot and humid from morning until noon.)

(But from afternoon to evening, the chances of isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms are high.)

The same weather condition will prevail over Visayas and Mindanao on Thursday, Clauren also said.

On the other hand, Typhoon Mindulle, which was last located 1,445 kilometers east-northeast of the extreme northern Luzon, now has a low chance of entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

But, according to Pagasa, Mindulle will continue to affect the eastern parts of northern and central Luzon as its trough will cause moderate to rough waters on the eastern seaboard of these areas. No gale warning was raised nevertheless by the state weather service.

(The chance of the typhoon to enter [PAR] is now low, it also has no direct impact on our country.)
