OLONGAPO CITY-Central Luzon remains to be third among all regions with the most cases of COVID-19, data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed on Wednesday (Sept. 29).
Since 2020, Central Luzon has already recorded 252, 737 COVID cases. It was just behind the National Capital Region, which topped the list with 799,471 cases, and Calabarzon, a region close to Metro Manila, with 458,191.
The province of Bulacan is still the province in Central Luzon with the highest total cases—96,269.
Data from the independent tracking firm OCTA research showed that Pampanga, Bulacan and Bataan were among 20 provinces that recorded the most new COVID-19 cases on Monday (Sept. 27).
The City of San Fernando in Pampanga was also among 20 local government units with the most new COVID-19 cases recorded on Monday with 153.
