Grenade thrown at Rep. Rufus Rodriguez residence in Cagayan de Oro

MANILA, Philippines — A grenade was found at the ancestral residence of Deputy Speaker Rufus Rodriguez in Cagayan de Oro on Wednesday, the congressman confirmed.

“Lives were put at risk in the grenade attack at the ancestral residence of the Rodriguez family in Barangay Nazareth in Cagayan de Oro City earlier today,” Rodriguez said in a separate statement on Wednesday.

“We condemn in the strongest terms this act of violence perpetuated by unknown men,” Rodriguez added.

According to the congressman, no one was injured and an investigation is being conducted by the authorities.
