MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court on Tuesday announced the suspension anew of the bar examinations this year to assure the safety of all the bar applicants and personnel amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
Associate Justice Marvic Leonen, chair of the 2020-2021 bar examinations, said the annual licensure test for would-be lawyers has been moved from November this year to Jan. 16, 23 and 30, and Feb. 6, 2022.
Last year, the high court postponed the bar exams due to the spiraling COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila.
“Treat this as an opportunity. Keep your momentum,” Leonen told the aspiring lawyers in a bar bulletin. He, however, said that the application for the bar examinations, which ended on Sept. 15, would not be reopened.
