College teacher crowned Mister Bohol
TAGBILARAN CITY—A college teacher was crowned for the first edition of Mister Bohol on Monday, Sept. 27, at the Bellevue Resort in Panglao town.
Arneil Valmores Kadusale of Trinidad town took home the ultimate crown as he bested 26 other aspirants from different towns of the province in the “no audience” male pageant.
Kadusale, 24, is a senior high and college teacher at BIT-International College in Tagbilaran City. He is also a Sangguniang Kabataan chairman. His previous titles include Mister BQ Mall 2014, Mister Trinidad 2017 and Mr. BIT International College 2017.
“Winning Mister Bohol 2021 really makes me feel so happy, fulfilled, and beyond blessed, for I know that this platform opens for opportunities towards personal and professional growth as well as it opens the doors for charitable programs and advocacies that would help achieve community goals,” said Kadusale.
“To be the first-ever Mister Bohol is such a great honor for me,” he added.

Article continues after this advertisementKadusale received a cash prize of P12, 000 and other perks, including a pictorial with reigning Miss Universe Philippines Rabiya Mateo who is in Bohol for the grand finals on Sept. 30.
Finishing second was Dan Joshua Olaco of Panglao, who was declared Mister Bohol Tourism, followed by Jeff Nheil Usaraga of Inabanga, who was declared Mister Bohol Ambassador.
Completing the top 5 were Paul Pegi of Calape, who finished first runner-up, and John Michael Eyo of Alburquerque, who placed second runner-up.
The Ramp Models Association of Bohol (RMAB) and Ahern Production said they spent months planning and preparing for Mister Bohol.
Gerry Lugod, the pageant director, said Mister Bohol was aimed to highlight the skills and talents of young Boholanos for a better cause.
He added that the pageant was a tribute to the acclaimed film and TV director Maryo de los Reyes, also a Boholano. De los Reyes conceptualized the pageant in 2018, but it didn’t materialize due to his sudden demise.
Judges included fashion designers Renee Salud, Sony Boy Mindo and Shannon Pamaong.
