CAMP ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan—Policemen in Balagtas town killed a drug suspect, who allegedly engaged the lawmen in a shootout during a buy-bust operation Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Col. Lawrence Cajipe, Bulacan police director, identified the fatality as Joselito Mag-isa, alias “Tammy,” the top drug personality in Balagtas.

Cajipe said the suspect fired shots at the responding policemen while trying to elude arrest after selling “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent in Barangay Santol at about 1:20 a.m.
