Rep. Paolo Duterte tests positive for coronavirus, says sister Sara

MANILA, Philippines — President Rodrigo Duterte’s son and Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo Duterte has been tested positive for coronavirus, the virus that causes COVID-19.
Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio, the lawmaker’s sister, disclosed this Monday afternoon but said she does not have further details.
“Cong. Paolo Duterte is confirmed COVID-19 positive. I do not have other details,” Duterte-Carpio said in a text message.
The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 20,755 new infections on Monday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 2,490,858.
Of the 2.4 million cases, 161,447 are active, 2,292,006 have recovered, and 37,405 have died.
