BACOLOD CITY––Five of the nine missing crew members of a fishing boat that sank in the waters between Carles town in Iloilo province and Sicogon Island last Friday have been found.

Recovered Saturday inside the wreckage of FB St. Peter the Fisherman II that sank 44 meters deep were the bodies of Norberto Parlotza of Bantayan Island, Cebu, and Rommel Engle of Cadiz City, Negros Occidental.

Recovered Sunday were the bodies of Julit Salvo of Salvador Benedicto town, Victor Calvo of Cadiz City, and a still-unidentified body.

“Our boats and divers are still searching for the missing,” said Captain Ludovico Librilla, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Western Visayas deputy commander.

An investigation team from PCG central office in Metro Manila is set to investigate the sinking.
