2 workers nabbed in Batangas drug session
LUCENA CITY — Police arrested two suspected drug users while in the act of sniffing shabu (crystal meth) inside a subdivision in Malvar town in Batangas province early Sunday.
Malvar police said in a report that suspects Aries Goting and Joel Medialdia Jr., both construction workers, were arrested after a security guard of Aboitiz Subdivision in Barangay San Andres alerted the police about what he suspected as a shabu sniffing session at around 2:30 a.m.
Anti-illegal drugs operatives caught Goting and Medialdea while in the act of sniffing shabu.
Their two companions, Carlo Boqueo and Adan Ausa, also both workers, however, managed to escape and remain at large.
The arrested drug users yielded a plastic sachet of shabu, an aluminum foil with traces of meth and sniffing paraphernalia.
The suspects are facing charges of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
