LUCENA CITY — Old habits prove to be hard to quell for a 45-year-old ex-drug convict who was arrested by police during a buy-bust operation in San Juan, Batangas Saturday night.
In a report, San Juan Police said anti-narcotics agents arrested Crisalex Giron after he sold P1,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Mabalanoy around 7:15 p.m.
The report did not state the total volume and street value of the confiscated illegal drugs from Giron.
Report said the suspect was first arrested for alleged drug pushing last September 17, 2015, also in San Juan, but was freed by the court last November 11, 2018 after a plea bargain agreement.
Giron was rearrested on the same charges in Sariaya, Quezon on May 31, 2019. Report did not indicate the reason why he was able to regain his freedom.
Now jailed, the suspect is facing charges anew for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
