MANILA, Philippines — The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will prevail over Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Sunday.

Palawan, Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.

Moreover, Pagasa is monitoring Typhoon Mindulle, currently outside the Philippine area of responsibility, located 1,640 kilometers east of extreme northern Luzon as of 3 a.m.

“Ayon nga po sa ating latest forecast track ay maaari itong pumasok ng Philippine area of responsibility by Tuesday or Wednesday,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
