BARMM extends aid to 490 flood-hit families in Lanao del Sur town
ILIGAN CITY, Philippines —Up to 490 families in Malabang town, Lanao del Sur were given aid by the Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The families were displaced from their homes due to flooding triggered by continuous rain.
According to an MSSD news release, each family received 25 kilos of rice, three canned goods, three packs of instant noodles, one kilo of sugar, and a pack of coffee.
The aid recipients came from the villages of Bago a Ingud, Manggahan, and Corahab.
Those from the villages of Banday and Chinatown are set to receive the same aid, according to the MSSD, citing the schedule set by Malabang municipal social welfare officer Alk-Khalil Mangondato. Ryan D. Rosauro
