LAOAG CITY — Latest data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed that least 8,136 indigent residents under the A5 priority group in Ilocos region have already been vaccinated against COVID-19.

DOH said that about 7,725 of them received one dose of the vaccines while 411 were already fully vaccinated.

Ilocos Norte had the highest vaccination coverage with 4,028 indigents receiving at least one dose of the vaccine while 1,629 in La Union, 1,318 in Pangasinan, and 750 in

Ilocos Sur were already vaccinated under the A5 priority group.

The DOH is eyeing to vaccinate at least 562,682 eligible indigent residents in the region.

So far, at least 1.4 million COVID-19 vaccines were already administered in the region to those who belong under the A1 to A5 priority groups.
