CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela—At least 552 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in this province, raising its active infections to 4,975, data from the provincial health office showed Friday, Sept. 24.
Among the areas with the most active cases are Cauayan City (405), Angadanan town (367), Santiago City (287), Quezon town (221), and Ramon town (216).
Also with high active infections are the towns of Alicia (186), Echague (159), Gamu (131), Luna (121) and San Mariano (112).
Since last year, Isabela has recorded 43, 115 cases with 1,258 deaths, including the 16 new fatalities. But at least 36,882 patients in the province had already recovered from the viral disease.
The provincial government has also ramped up its vaccine rollout to achieve herd immunity at an early time. It received 36,040 more doses of COVID-19 vaccines on Friday.
