93% of CHEd employees now fully vaccinated
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) on Tuesday announced it had reached herd immunity among employees after 1,198, or 93 percent, of its 1,280 education frontliners were fully vaccinated.
The highest vaccination rates were recorded in CHEd’s regional offices in Ilocos, 100 percent; Mimaropa, 100 percent; Cordillera, 98 percent; central office, 96 percent; and Central Luzon and Central Visayas at 96 percent.
“There appears to be no vaccine hesitancy among CHEd employees. We thank our [local governments] for recognizing the critical role played by front-line workers and their full support to include our employees in their vaccine rollout,” said CHEd Chair Prospero de Vera.
