1Sambayan says it’s still screening its ‘pambato’
MANILA, Philippines — The opposition coalition 1Sambayan on Tuesday said that it is currently in its final days of “screening” for its nominees in the 2022 presidential elections.
“We in 1Sambayan would like to clarify and maintain that we are still in the final days of screening our nominees for our ‘Pambato’ (bet) in the next presidential elections,” the 1Sambayan said in a statement.
The coalition group described this as part of an “internal survey” that started on Sept. 12 and will last through Sept. 25.
It includes questions about issues members want their nominees to address in their platform of government, the group said.
“We cannot stress enough how important the 2022 elections are for our country. It is a make-or-break for our democracy; it is a vote for our survival,” said 1Sambayan.
