LIGAO CITY––Only 28.73 percent of the 3,125 total jail population in Bicol have been vaccinated as of Sept. 21.
Jail Officer 2 Ruth Manuel Castor, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Bicol Information officer, said Tuesday that 883 inmates had been vaccinated.
Some 769 took the two doses of Sinovac vaccine, while 113 got the Johnson & Johnson jab.
In Tabaco City District Jail, 356 inmates were fully vaccinated.
“Thanks to the health workers of Tabaco City Health Unit headed by Dr. Audwin Azada, our PDLs (persons deprived of liberty) got their protection against the deadly COVID-19,” said Tedler Samonte, officer in charge of the Tabaco City District Jail.
