MANILA, Philippines — The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) on Monday opened the application and nomination for the post to be vacated by Supreme Court Associate Justice Rosmari Carandang, who was appointed by President Duterte in November 2018.
Carandang will reach the mandatory age requirement of 70 on Jan. 9, 2022.
The JBC said it would also start the vetting process for the five vacancies in the Court of Appeals and several posts in local courts.
Clerk of court Marife Lomibao-Cuevas said applicants have until Nov. 2 to submit all the necessary documentary requirements, including their statement of assets, liabilities and net worth for the past 10 years.
