SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES — All intensive care unit (ICU) beds intended for COVID-19 patients in this province have reached their full capacity, data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed on Monday, Sept. 20.
Ten of these ICU beds are in the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital (PRMMH), the province’s main quarantine facility, while seven are in Allied Care Experts Medical Center-Baypointe Inc. inside the Subic Bay Freeport.
At least 52 of the 113 isolation beds in the province were also occupied, as well as 210 of the 247 ward beds.
Three other COVID-19 facilities in the province- the Candelaria District Hospital, the San Marcelino District Hospital and the Sta. Cecilia Medical Center- still have available COVID-19 beds, the DOH data showed.
To date, the province has recorded 7,720 total cases and at least 1,022 of these remained active while 6,721 had recovered from the disease and 277 had died.
