Abra woman wounded in another gun attack

BAGUIO CITY—A woman in Tayum town, Abra province was wounded on Sunday (Sept. 19) after unidentified gunmen broke into her house and shot her, police said.

Investigators identified the victim as Aileen Daria, a resident of Barangay Budac. She sustained a bullet wound to her back and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police said the suspects immediately fled the scene where they recovered three spent shells from a .45-caliber pistol. The motive behind the attack has yet to be determined.

The shooting happened around 9: 30 p.m. or about 15 hours after a lady doctor was shot by unknown assailants at her home in Barangay Poblacion, Pilar town, also in Abra.

Police identified the doctor as Amor Trina Dait who died from a heart attack while being treated at a hospital. INQ
