CABANATUAN CITY – Five people were arrested in successive anti-illegal drugs operations in the province of Nueva Ecija on Sunday (Sept. 19), police said.
The suspects were identified as Alfie Santos, Virgilio Carreon, Remedios Lomibao, Eric Gamboa and Gilbert Simon.
According to Col. Rhoderick Campo, Nueva Ecija police director, the operations were carried out in Palayan City and the towns of Jaen and Carranglan between 10:35 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
A total of 12 sachets of alleged “shabu” (crystal meth) as well as the marked bills used in the operations were recovered from the suspects, police said.
The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs of 2002. INQ
