MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The active COVID-19 cases in the City of San Fernando have reached 1,931 on Sunday, Sept. 19, data from the local government showed.
It registered 85 new cases, 23 recoveries, and three deaths on the same day. The fatalities were residents of Bulaon, San Isidro, and Sindalan villages.
A day earlier, the capital city of Pampanga province recorded 101 new cases, 32 recoveries, and two deaths.
Dolores village has the most active cases at 224, followed by Sindalan with 179, and Bulaon with 169. Calulut, San Agustin, and Telabastagan also have high active cases at 168, 124, and 122, respectively.
The city has recorded 9,824 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 7,685 have recovered, while 266 have died.
As of Sept. 16, some 82,968 or 34.3 percent of the target residents in the capital city have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Some 192,092 or 54.6 of the 242,102 eligible residents have also received first doses of the vaccines.
