Manila archbishop Jose Advincula tested positive for coronavirus

Cardinal Jose Advincula tested positive for COVID-19, the Archdiocese of Manila announced on Friday.

MANILA, Philippines — Cardinal Jose Advincula tested positive for COVID-19, the Archdiocese of Manila announced on Friday.

“His Eminence Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, Archbishop of Manila, tested positive with COVID-19,” Archdiocese of Manila said in a statement.

Advincula has no other symptoms apart from a slight fever.

He is now under quarantine, while observing protocols, with doctors monitoring his situation, according to the Archdiocese of Manila.

“We appeal for your prayers for His Eminence and for all those who are sick with COVID-19,” they added.
