PUP graduate tops 2021 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination

MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday announced that 1,668 out of 2,590 aspiring electrical engineers, led by a Polytechnic University of the Philippines graduate, hurdled the September 2021 Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination.

Bryan Bautista Estaris of the PUP – Sta. Mesa in Manila topped the list of passers with a rating of 93.10 percent.

Jaj Hiponia Sentina of the Central Philippine University ranked second with a rating of 90.60 percent, followed by Emman Josua Balitan Busto of the University of the Philippines – Diliman, who scored 90.50 percent.

Meanwhile the top performing schools with 50 or more examinees were the Pangasinan State University with a passing rate of 98.08 percent (52 total students), Cagayan State University – Tuguegarao with a 93.1 percent passing rate (58 total students), followed by Batangas State University – Alangilan with an 88 percent passing rate (50 total students).

The results were released on Thursday, exactly seven working days after the last day of examinations held in several testing centers  in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Master Electrician Licensure Examination

Meanwhile, 1,506 out of 2,233 passed the Registered Master Electrician Licensure Examination also given by the Board of Electrical Engineering.

Franchesca Louise Hernandez Lajara of De La Salle University – Lipa topped the passers with a rating of 93 percent.

Estaris, who topped the Electrical Engineer Licensure Examination, got the second highest score in the Master Electrician Licensure Examination with a score of 92.50 percent, followed by Jeff Loyd Simbulan Bergonia with a score of 90.50 percent.
