Mechanic dies after figuring in a motorcycle accident in Leyte

A mechanic died while being treated at a hospital in Palo, Leyte after his motorcycle rammed into a prefabricated culvert in Barangay Milagrosa, Sta. Fe, Leyte at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept 14.

ORMOC CITY — A mechanic died while being treated at a hospital in Palo, Leyte after his motorcycle rammed into a prefabricated culvert in Barangay Milagrosa, Sta. Fe, Leyte at about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept 14.

Police Lt. Marvin Jacer identified the victim as Jolito Quindara, 23.

Jacer said it took the local rescue group several minutes to pull the victim out of the culvert.

He said a local resident provided them with a hacksaw to cut the steel rod stuck into the suspect’s chest.

The victim was brought to the Schistosomiasis Hospital in Palo, Leyte where he died while being treated about 2:30 a.m.
