MANILA, Philippines — Rizal Park in Manila is now open for anyone who wants to engage in physical exercise starting on Thursday, the Department of Tourism (DOT) announced.

“Rizal Park will once again open its gates to visitors […] who wish to engage in physical exercise,” the DOT said in a statement on Wednesday.

Only visitors aged 18 to 65 are allowed to enter Rizal Park, according to the DOT.

Rizal Park will be open from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. with a maximum capacity of 500 visitors.

Visitors are advised to download the StaySafe app for faster entry into the park premises, although manual contact tracing forms will still be available at the entrances.

Rizal Park was closed to the public on July 30 following a spike in the number of COVID-19  cases.
