MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government on Tuesday said it would file charges against a construction firm in Cubao for violation of health protocols after 57 COVID-19 cases were recorded in its premises.
City lawyer Orlando Paolo Casimiro said w (MEC), which was undertaking the construction of Manhattan Heights in Cubao, might be held criminally liable.
Casimiro said MEC could be held accountable if the firm was proven to be aware of its workers’ situation but failed to report the cases to the city epidemiological surveillance unit.
