BONGABON, Nueva Ecija – A section of the Nueva Ecija-Aurora Road in Barangay Labi here has been re-opened to motorists after the Department of Public Works and Highways finished the clearing of the landslide debris in the area on Monday, Sept. 13.

The rain-induced landslide hit the Kilometer 0166+920 section of the road at the height of Tropical Storm Jolina (Conson) last week.

According to the DPWH, the affected section of the road was temporarily opened on Sept. 10 but had to be closed again to give way to more clearing operations.

In an advisory, Roseller Tolentino, director of the DPWH in Central Luzon, said the two lanes of the affected road section are now passable to all types of vehicles after their maintenance crew already completed the clearing work.
