Pampanga cops seize P3.5M ‘shabu’ from 2 drug suspects

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Policemen arrested two suspected drug peddlers, who allegedly yielded P3.5 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) in a buy-bust operation Sunday in Minalin town.

In a statement, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) identified the suspects as Jinky De Dios, 37, a “high-value target,” and Julie Ann Besa, 42, both of Angeles City.

Pampanga drug enforcement and intelligence operatives and local police conducted the sting operation along MacArthur Highway in Sto. Domingo village in Minalin, the PRO3 quoted Pampanga police director Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay as saying.

The two were arrested after taking the marked peso bills from the undercover police.

The police allegedly confiscated from the suspects 13 sachets containing 515 grams of shabu.

Both suspects are facing charges for possession and sale of illegal drugs in violation of Sections 5 and 11 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
