Tarlac’s 2nd most wanted person nabbed in Benguet after 1 year in hiding
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The second most wanted person in Tarlac province was arrested after hiding for more than a year in Bakun town, Benguet province, police said Sunday, Sept. 12.
Police identified the suspect as June Gabayan, 32, a resident of Barangay Tubectubang, Moncada town in Tarlac.
On July 3, 2020, Judge Luis Velasquez of Paniqui, Tarlac Regional Trial Court Branch 67, issued a warrant of arrest against Gabayan for murder with no bail recommended.
Police failed to arrest the suspect after he went into hiding.
After getting information that Gabayan was in Bakun, Tarlac police coordinated with the Benguet police and went to the upland town on Saturday, Sept. 11, to arrest the suspect.
The suspect was brought to the San Manuel police station in Tarlac for temporary detention before his presentation to the court.
Gabayan committed the alleged murder in San Manuel, police said.
