CITY OF MALOLOS — Bulacan’s COVID-19 cases have improved during the week as island villages in coastal town of Paombong, Hagonoy and in this city have remained with almost zero cases.
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando shared the improving COVID-19 cases situation in the province during his visit at the renovated Pamarawan Hospital, Bulacan Medical Center, (BMC) extension in island Barangay Pamarawan in this capital city of the province on Friday and distributed 1,200 ayuda packs to the residents.
Bulacan’s active cases as of Friday is 3,617 which was 893 lower than the 4,510 on September 3.
Death cases had also slowed down with only 57 recorded from 1,150 to 1,207 within the week, compared to earlier 70 to 90 cases within a week.
Fernando said there were zero cases in coastal Barangay Tibaguin in Hagonoy town, three cases in Sta. Cruz, and two cases in Barangay Binakod in Paombong town.
The island barangay of Pamarawan with more than 3,000 population has 14 positive cases.
He continues to urge residents to be vigilant and strictly observe health protocols and pray harder for the people to be safe from COVID-19 and for the pandemic to end.
