2 dead in after motorcycle crashes into parked car in Quezon province

LUCENA CITY — Two persons died after the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a parked car, an Asian utility vehicle (AUV), along the Marhalika Highway in Sariaya town in Quezon province before midnight Saturday, September 11.

The Sariaya police said the victim, Van Jerick Magsino (driver), 19, and back-rider Jerson Sayas, 24, rammed into a parked AUV on the side of the national road in Barangay (village) Gibanga around 11 p.m.

The victims sustained grave injuries and were taken to Lucena United Doctors Hospital in this city but both died along the way.

Report did not state whether or not the fatalities had crash helmets.

The parked vehicle with plate number DJU 578 was left unattended by the still unidentified owner, according to report.

Police are conducting further investigation.
