Gov't employee busted in Leyte for allegedly selling 'shabu'

ORMOC CITY — A government employee in Inopacan town, Leyte was arrested for selling and possession of shabu (methamphetamine), authorities said.

Leo Mejia, 48, was arrested during a drug bust led by the Regional Service Enforcement Team of the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Station Drug Enforcement Team around 10:55 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8.

The illegal drug confiscated from the suspect was estimated to have a street value of P20,400

Charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the custodial facility of PDEA in Palo, Leyte.
