MANILA, Philippines — A total of 276 out of 720 aspirants passed the August and September 2021 Veterinarian Licensure Examination, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Wednesday.
Gabriel Gonzaga Camota of the University of the Philippines (UP) Los Baños topped the list of passers with a score of 85.36% .
In second place is Carmela Marie Bongco Lisares, also of UP Los Baños, with a score of 84.52%.
In third place is Justin Joseph Gaña of the De La Salle-Aranet University with 83.96%.
UP Los Baños also topped the exams in terms of school performance with a passing rate of 94.44% (based on 18 students who took the exam).
In second place is Pampanga State Agricultural University with a passing rate of 61.54 % (39 students), followed by Central Mindanao University in third with 58.33% (12 students), and Central Luzon State University in fourth with 50.41% (123 students),
Tied in fifth place are Capiz State University (Panay SPC) Dumarao and Cavite State University (Don Severino Agricultural College) both with 42.86% (both with seven students who took the exam).
The examinations were given by the Board of Veterinary Medicine in testing areas in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Koronadal, Legazpi, and Tuguegarao last August and September.
The oath-taking of the veterinarians will be announced later.
