OLONGAPO CITY—The local government has begun inoculating some 1,000 marker vendors and public utility vehicle drivers during the mass vaccination at the Rizal Triangle Multipurpose Center on Tuesday, Sept. 7.
It was the first time the covered court was used as another vaccine site, the second in the city.
The vendors and drivers belong to the A4 category or essential workers.
Although the local government said it would only inoculate those registered at the city’s online portal, some walk-in vendors and drivers were accommodated.
The Rizal Triangle is situated near the city’s two public markets, making it accessible to the vendors.
So far, the city has already vaccinated at least 57, 933 residents.
The city’s main vaccination site is the SMX Convention Center at the SM Olongapo Central, which can accommodate at least 1,000 people at a time.
