Aguelo, Branzuela make weight for today’s PBF featherweight title fight

ADONIS “TI Yamagata” Aguelo and Renan Branzuela made the featherweight division limit during the official weigh-in held yesterday at the Games and Amusements Board (Gab) Cebu office.

Aguelo, who tipped the scales at 126 lbs., will defend his Philippine Boxing Federation featherweight title belt against Branzuela in today’s ten-round main event of “Binakbakay sa Barangay” at the gym of Barangay Basak in Lapu-Lapu City.

Branzuela weighed in at 125.5 lbs.

A special attraction in this boxing promotion is the six-round fight between Japanese boxer TI Yamagata Masashi (110 lbs) and Junior Salvador (110 lbs) of Mandaue City.

Also set to see action are Roemart “TI Yamagata” Sentillas (112 lbs), who will trade punches with Romnick Magos (112 lbs) for ten rounds; Gerpaul “TI Yamagata” Valero (115 lbs), who faces Erwin Pulvera (116 ¼ lbs); Rajah Renoel Pael (111 ¾ lbs), who takes on Anthony Galigao (112lbs); and Ardie “TI Yamagata” Boyose (112 lbs), who collides with Reymund Fermin (112 lbs).

The weigh-in was supervised by Celso Miranda of Gab-Cebu. Fans will also get to see amateur bouts. Fights start at 6 p.m. /Correspondent Rene Bonsubre
