COVID-19 hits 17 more cops in Central Luzon

At least 17 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded among the workforce of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon, local health data showed on Monday (Sept. 6).

OLONGAPO CITY–At least 17 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded among the workforce of the Philippine National Police in Central Luzon, local health data showed on Monday (Sept. 6).

The new cases raised to 165 the active cases of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3), which include its non-uniformed personnel.

So far, the PRO3 has registered 2,390 infections since the pandemic struck last year. Of this figure, 2,219 have been cleared of the viral disease, reflecting a 92.8-percent recovery rate.

According to the PRO3 health service, its COVID-19 death toll rose to six with an addition of one fatality on Sept. 4.
