Over 10,000 Tarlac townsfolk get complete vaccine vs COVID-19
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga – Some 10,368 residents of Capas town in Tarlac have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the municipal government disclosed on Sunday, Sept. 5.
Citing data as of Sept. 4, the municipal government said the fully inoculated individuals include health workers under the A1 priority group, elderly under A2, persons with comorbidities under A3, and several frontline personnel in essential sectors under the A4 category.
It said the fully vaccinated residents include the 4,724 individuals who received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, 3,147 who got AstraZeneca, and 2,497 who received the Sinovac vaccine.
The municipal government said some 12,563 residents have also received their first doses of the vaccines against COVID-19. The number represents 11.5 percent of the about 109,239 of the target population of Capas.
Based on the 2020 census, Capas has a total population of 156,065.
