Another Bulacan mayor contracts COVID-19

CITY OF MALOLOS––Mayor Cipriano Violago of San Rafael town in Bulacan province has tested positive for COVID-19 and has undergone quarantine.

In an announcement Sunday, Sept. 5, Violago said he experienced flu-like symptoms last week, prompting him to undergo a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test.

It was not immediately known how Violago contracted the virus, but he said his condition had started to improve.

Violago is the seventh Bulacan mayor to get infected with the virus since last year.
