CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela—The city government on Wednesday (Sept. 1) placed three villages and 30 sub-villages here on a lockdown due to the rising COVID-19 cases, an official said.
Mayor Josemarie Diaz said the localized lockdown would be effective until 8 p.m. on Sept. 6 to limit the movement of residents and slow or contain the spread of the virus.
Diaz said the lockdown covers the villages of Osmeña, Calamagui 1st and Bliss. The affected sub-villages are located in 18 other villages of the city.
The mayor also ordered a clean-up drive, sanitation and disinfection in all of the city’s villages as a precaution against COVID-19.
Ilagan is currently under a medium epidemic risk classification.
