Over 14 million Filipinos now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19 — Palace

MANILA, Philippines — Over 14 million Filipinos are now fully vaccinated against COVID-19 since the government launched its immunization program in March, Malacañang said Thursday.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said a total of 14,109,916 Filipinos have received complete doses of the vaccine, while over 20 million have received at least one dose.

Over 34 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have so far been administered in the country, said Roque.

Roque added that 42% of Metro Manila residents or over 4.1 million are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19 while 7.1 million have already received at least one dose.

So far, 11.3 million doses have been administered in the National Capital Region.

The Philippine government is aiming to open COVID-19 vaccination to the general population, including vulnerable children with comorbidities, by October, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said.
