SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––This province has started inoculating indigent residents as it continued to hold its mass vaccination against COVID-19.
Data from the provincial health office on Wednesday, Sept. 1, showed that 120 indigents were given their first dose of either Sinovac or AstraZeneca vaccine.
They were among the 49,917 residents who have been administered the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
So far, 57,038 residents, or 13.7 percent of the target population of the province, have been fully vaccinated against the disease.
Aside from Sinovac or AstraZeneca, the province has also been administering Moderna and the single-shot Janssen vaccine from Johnson & Johnson.
The province needs to inoculate at least 413,560 of its 590,800-population to achieve herd immunity.
